Welcome to GTZ Painting. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the conditions under which we provide painting and related services, as well as how you may use our website and communicate with our business. By hiring us, requesting an estimate, or using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Scope of Services

GTZ Painting provides professional residential and commercial painting services, including interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, drywall repair, pressure washing, deck staining, and related preparation work. All services are performed according to industry standards, with attention to safety, quality, and workmanship.

We reserve the right to decline services or modify the scope of work based on safety concerns, property conditions, or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes to the agreed scope of work will be communicated and documented before additional work begins.

Estimates and Project Agreements

Estimates

All estimates provided are free and based on the information available at the time of the quote. Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Final costs may vary if additional work is requested, if conditions differ from those initially inspected, or if project specifications change.

Project Approval

Work begins once the client approves the estimate in writing (email confirmation is acceptable) and any required deposit is received. By approving the project, you acknowledge acceptance of the scope, pricing, and these Terms of Service.

Scheduling and Access

We strive to schedule projects promptly and complete them on time. However, project start and completion dates are subject to change due to weather conditions, material availability, or unforeseen delays. Clients must provide reasonable access to the property, including water, electricity, and any necessary permissions for exterior work.

If the client delays the project start or restricts access, additional charges may apply to cover labor rescheduling or extended project timelines.

Payment Terms

A deposit may be required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the project unless otherwise specified in writing. Payment methods accepted include cash, check, or approved electronic payment options. Late payments may incur additional fees and/or interest charges as permitted by law.

In the event of non-payment, GTZ Painting reserves the right to withhold future services and pursue legal action to recover unpaid balances.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Removing or protecting furniture, decorations, and valuables before the project begins.

  • Notifying us of any known structural, electrical, or safety issues prior to work.

  • Securing pets and providing safe working conditions for our team.

Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may result in delays, additional charges, or limitations of liability.

Warranties and Limitations

We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. Most painting projects come with a limited workmanship warranty (typically 1 year) covering peeling, blistering, or flaking due to improper application. This warranty does not cover issues caused by moisture, structural movement, neglect, or previously applied coatings.

We do not guarantee paint performance if materials are supplied by the client or if surfaces are not properly maintained after project completion.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date. Cancellations made after this period may result in a cancellation fee to cover scheduling and labor costs. We will work with you to reschedule projects whenever possible due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.

Liability and Damages

While we take every precaution to protect your property, GTZ Painting is not liable for pre-existing damage, structural defects, or damage resulting from conditions outside our control (e.g., water intrusion, hidden rot, or electrical faults). Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided.

Clients are encouraged to review their homeowner’s insurance policy for coverage of incidental property damage unrelated to negligence.

Use of Website and Online Content

All content, logos, images, and text on our website are the property of GTZ Painting and may not be copied, distributed, or reused without written permission. Use of our website constitutes agreement to follow applicable laws and refrain from unauthorized use.

Updates to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services or website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
